Anniversary safari to Tanzania Our 5 day luxury safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro in May was truly the trip of a lifetime and the perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the very beginning, the team at Traces on Savannah made planning our trip so easy. Everything was taken care of by someone else allowing us to simply relax and enjoy the experience. Our guide was lovely, knowledgeable and always keen to share facts about the wildlife, landscapes and local culture and traditions. We saw an incredible variety of animals and experienced so many new things. The accommodation was beautiful throughout, it was all about comfort, amazing views and authenticity. What made this trip even more special was the kindness we experienced everywhere we went. Every member of staff we met made us feel genuinely welcome and seen as not just another tourist. Girls graduation celebration trip 5 days, 5 besties, one graduation trip before adult life officially clocked in... and it was everything we hoped for. From the second we booked, Simon understood the assignment. We told him exactly what we wanted—a budget safari that still felt like the trip of a lifetime to celebrate graduating—and he absolutely delivered. Our guide was an actual legend. He was all in from day one, kept the vibes high, had us laughing nonstop, and made sure every single one of us had the best time. Every safari was incredible, the landscapes looked like they belonged on a postcard, and every evening we had sundowners in the most breathtaking spots. Core memory after core memory. The camps were clean, comfortable, and there was something so exciting about sleeping out in the wild. We felt completely safe the entire time... even when the hyenas were outside giggling away (which is somehow both terrifying and hilarious). If you're thinking about booking, just tell them what you want and they'll make it happen. 3 day last minute booking After completing my climb, I found myself back in Arusha with a few spare days and decided not to let the opportunity go to waste. I hadn’t really budgeted for a safari, but I desperately wanted to experience some of the incredible wildlife Tanzania has to offer. With limited time and a limited budget, Simon suggested a 3-day trip to Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. Firstly… wow! Secondly, I’m still not sure how Simon managed to pull everything together at such short notice. And thirdly, thank you. The whole trip was perfectly organised, our guide was fantastic, and seeing elephants, lions, rhinos and so much more in their natural habitat was an experience I’ll never forget. Honestly outstanding - highly recommend My friend and I took a day trip organised by Savannah Tours while we were in Zanzibar and it was, quite simply, outstanding from start to finish. Everything was exceptionally well organised. We were collected in a lovely, air-conditioned van by the kindest and most welcoming driver, then taken smoothly to the harbour. From there, we boarded a beautiful local boat, full of colour and character. I know a tour company can’t control the colour of the sea or the sky — but honestly, the day could not have been more perfect. The colour of the sea, the sun, and the heat… just magical. The gentlemen on the boat took wonderful care of us throughout the day. We were treated to fresh fruit (the pineapple deserves a special mention — absolutely to die for!) and visited several stunning locations. We saw sea urchins, crystal-clear waters and beaches that were genuinely breathtaking. One of the highlights was Prisoner Island. Seeing the giant turtles was absolutely incredible; they were fantastic, and the island itself was phenomenal, with natural beauty that completely steals the show. Another moment that really stood out for me was wading through the water to reach one of the shores. As someone who isn’t particularly comfortable in the sea, I felt incredibly well looked after — everything was calm, well managed and reassuring, which made a huge difference. We also stopped at a beach area with local crafts and wares. I’m terrible with names, but I bought the most beautifully woven wrap there, which I absolutely love and will treasure. Lunch was fantastic, and my friend had a brilliant time swimming while I soaked up the scenery and relaxed, feeling completely at ease. All in all, it was a top-tier day and one of the highlights of our time in Zanzibar. Excellent. Reliable. Trustworthy and FUN! My safari guide put me in touch with Simon for a last minute (literally with a couple hours notice) tour of Zanzibar! Wonderful trip touring Stone Town, Prison Island, the Spice Farms, and Diamond Platnumz greatest hits. :) Highlights were the giant tortoise, the markets and great conversation and cultural exchange along the way. Big benefit of having a reliable local guide was navigating traffic to make the ferry departure - always knew I was in good hands and it would proceed without stress. Zanzibar diaries with Traces on Savannah i went to Zanzibar for 3 days 2 nights and used Traces on Savannah for airports transfers and the excursions. Firstly, the fares were done according to my budget, hence they were flexible. Secondly, the service was professional and par excellence. When o got to the airport, a driver was already waiting for is with a comfortable and clean vehicle. Amazing programme, brilliant organisation Absolutely brilliant programme organised by Traces on Savanna. The itinerary was super well planned allowing us time to see so much of the island. Simon was incredibly responsive and nothing was too much of a hassle. He organised everything perfectly, day trips, pick ups and drop offs. We had an amazing range of trips including Nakupenda, Safari Blue and Sunset Cruise. My friend and I had such a brilliant time and we are so grateful for the attention to detail. It's worth noting that originally we had hoped to plan everything independently but we found the logistics of doing this quite faffy and prices very varying, it was also taking a lot of time from our trip negotiating. PERFECT Bonjour, Nous avons passé 7 jours fabuleux grâce à l agence Traces of savanna. Un manager ( Simon ) hyper réactif et toujours à l écoute et un chauffeur-guide ( Kenedy ) qui nous a fait découvrir tout les recoins des parcs et dénicher plusieurs fois le big five, à la fois tenace sur les game drive, avenant et discret. Au niveau tarifs l agence est la meilleure rapport qualité-prix sur une dizaine que nous avions sollicité. Nous avons le parc Seregenti, Ndutu et le cratère Ngoro. Une prise en charge à l aéroport avec hotel inclus, 4 nuits dans des camps de luxe et transfert retour à l aéroport après dernière nuit à Arusha. Parfait de bout en bout.
