Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar by our professional driver. Sit back and relax as you travel to Zanzibar Airport, where you’ll check in for your scheduled domestic flight to Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve. This short flight offers stunning aerial views of Tanzania’s coastline, forests, and rivers before landing at Mtemere Airstrip.

07:30 – 08:00 | Arrival at Nyerere National Park

Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip, your experienced English-speaking safari guide will warmly welcome you and provide a short briefing about the day’s adventure. After meeting your guide, board a specially designed 4×4 open-sided safari vehicle and begin your exciting game drive through Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected wildlife areas.

While relaxing under the shade of ancient trees, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the surrounding wilderness and listen to the sounds of nature. Your guide will carefully select a safe location where wildlife is often spotted nearby, making your lunch break part of the safari experience itself.

Afternoon Game Drive

After lunch, continue exploring different sections of the park in search of animals you may not have encountered earlier. Every game drive is unique, as wildlife moves freely across this vast protected landscape.

Depending on the season, you may witness elephant herds crossing the plains, lions resting beneath acacia trees, giraffes browsing peacefully, or pods of hippos cooling off in the Rufiji River.

Your guide will share fascinating insights about the park’s wildlife, birdlife, ecosystems, and conservation efforts, making your safari both exciting and educational.

16:00 | Return Flight to Zanzibar

In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Mtemere Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. As you fly over Southern Tanzania, enjoy one last breathtaking view of the untouched wilderness below before arriving in Zanzibar, where our driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
