Itinerary In Details
Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
From City Life to the Wild
Early in the morning, transfer to the train station in Dar es Salaam and board the fast train toward Morogoro/Mikumi. Enjoy a smooth and scenic journey through Tanzania’s countryside.
Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and transfer to Mikumi National Park. Begin your afternoon game drive across the Mkata Floodplain, often compared to the Serengeti for its wide-open landscapes. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park – Dar es Salaam
Final Game Drive & Return Journey
After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Mikumi’s plains offer excellent visibility, making it one of the best parks for photography and relaxed game viewing.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer back to the train station for your fast train journey to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening.
